There’s nothing more painful than leaving your heels on for too long and Emma Corrin was just like the rest of us as they left the GQ Man of the Year Awards.

The star-gathering ceremony took place at the Tate Modern in London on Wednesday night, where The Crown star was spotted making a very entertaining exit as Emma ditched her fancy shoes to go barefoot .

Having had enough of her heels, Emma decided not to go and was seen arm-in-arm with a female friend on her way home from a glamorous award show.

Will anyone else leave the club at 3am, just us?

The actress, 25, dressed to impress in a sheer gown with a large bow at the neck and see-through enough to reveal her black jumpsuit underneath.

Emma pushed her short blonde hair aside and completed the red carpet look with frosted makeup.

Before the shoeless appearance, Emma paired her chic camisole dress with a pair of black heels they were seen posing backstage with Harris Reed.

Reed won the Peroni Nastro Azzurro Breakthrough Award of the night.

Other winners include Kingsley actor Ben-Adir, Ed Sheeran, England coach Gareth Southgate, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sacha Baron Cohen and Line Of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar.

The star ceremony comes directly after last year’s virtual ceremony, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, and was attended by a host of famous faces, including Piers Morgan, Maya Jama, Emily Atack and Laura Whitmore.

During the ceremony, Prince Harry appeared in a surprise video as he presented the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine team the prize and attacked anti-vaxxers who ‘lie and fear’.

Emma’s appearance at the awards ceremony comes after it was revealed that they would be starring in a new Netflix series titled Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

This film adaptation of DH Lawrence’s popular novel follows the life of Lady Chatterley, a woman born into wealth and privilege who marries a man she eventually falls in love with.

She is then caught up in a thick love affair with a steward on their British estate and defies all traditions and expectations after crashing head first on the heels of her secret lover.

Emma joins This Is England star Jack O’Connell and Doctors actor Matthew Duckett for the film’s cast.

Fans will also see Emma join Harry Styles on screen in My Policeman – an LGBTQ+ melodrama based on the novel of the same name and scheduled for release in 2022.

Emma’s breakout role in The Crown as Princess Diana is already well-deserved for a Golden Globe, with the star winning Best Actress in a Drama Series when this year’s ceremony kicks off this month. 3.

Emma appeared in season four of The Crown and previously confessed they were ‘terrified’ by playing the late royal.

Emma told Variety: “I remember when I got the role, I felt that crazy sense of responsibility.

‘Playing Diana as well, horrible.’
